Are You Ready for Summer Camp 2012?! 
Camp Kum-Ba-Yah is Ready for You!

Who: Children Ages 5-12 years-old 
When: June 18 - August 3 
       Session 1: June 18 - June 22
       Session 2: June 25 - June 29
       Session 3: July 2 - July 6
     **Session 4: July 9 - July 13
       Session 5: July 16 - July 20
       Session 6: July 23 - July 27
    **Session 7: July 30 - August 3

All Sessions are $225 per camper. Two sessions are $325. We continue to offer a multi-child discount of $15 for each additional child.
Campership aid is available for qualified applicants.

CAMP EXPEDITION!
 
Are You Ready for Adventure? The Expedition Is Ready For You. 
 
Camp Kum-Ba-Yah has joined forces with Amazement Square to offer two sessions of amazing cmp experiences: Camp Expedition. For children ages 9-12 years-old, we are offering a a week of unforgettable exploration where environmental leadership, adventure and learning take center stage. Climb, swim, create and learn with 3 days at Camp Kum-Ba-Yah, 1 day at Amazement Square and 1 day Rafting the James River. 

Session 4: July 9 - July 13 (9-12 years-old only)
Session 7: July 30 - August 3 (9-12 years-old only)
Sessions are $275 a session and enrollment will camp at 40 adventurers! 

 
 



Campership Aid

From its inception, Camp Kum-Ba-Yah was committed to providing a wholesome camping experience for the children of Lynchburg. Fifty percent of our children attend with full or partial “campership” assistance provided by the Camp.

For its operations, the Camp relies on both paid and volunteer staff and services.

INTERNATIONAL COUNSELORS WANTED
Each summer, Camp Kum-Ba-Yah welcomes international counselors from around the world. In recent summers we have had international counselors from Trinidad, Germany, France, Egypt, and Kenya! International counselors are hosted by local families, and we are always seeking families willing to share their home with these special friends.

The Most Exciting Event of 2012 Is Right Around the Corner... Fishing Tournament, 3rd Annual River Race, and MORE on June 16! 


Camp Kum-Ba-Yah is partnering with Lynch's Landing and the James River Batteau Festival to create an unbelievable day on our treasured James River.

On June 16, Camp Kum-Ba-Yah will be hosting our first Fishing Tournament and our 3rd Annual River Race with Lynch's Landing and the James River Batteau Festival. 


Fishing Tournament: 6:30-9:30am. [Registration Form]  [Promotional Flyer]  Grab your fishing pole and tackle box and gear up for the CKBY Fishing Tournament. Sponsored by the B.A.S.S. Federation of Virginia Entrance fee: $15 per participant. 

Fishing Tournament Awards: 9:45am. 

3rd Annual River Race: 12pm.  [Registration Form]  [Promotional Flyer]  Join the 3rd Annual River Race on the James River supporting the Send A Kid to Camp fund. Paddle from Percival's Island to Galt's Mill with the James River Batteau Festival.


The Launch of the batteaus will be at 11am. The Lynchburg Batteau Festival will be happening from 9am- 3pm.
